On Friday 12th March, Sarah Dines MP visited the Matlock Covid-19 testing facility.
Sarah Dines MP said, ‘I went to get tested for Covid-19 in Matlock, not because I had symptoms, but because it is what we should all be doing to make sure we are protecting those around us and to stop the spread of the virus.
The whole process took ten minutes and thankfully my results were negative. The whole process was incredibly well run, quick and I felt incredibly safe.
As part of my job I am often interacting with individuals, albeit socially distanced and I do try to make sure that when returning from Westminster to Derbyshire Dales, I am tested before any of my socially distanced constituency meetings. If as part of your job you have to have interaction with people, even socially distanced, like I do, I encourage you to get regularly tested. Even if you aren’t interacting with others for work, I encourage everyone to be tested when they can, the majority of us are still doing the shopping and as such could still be coming into contact with the virus. Getting tested is just another way of helping to defeat this virus and protecting your loved ones.
Thank you again to all the NHS workers and volunteers.’
