On the 10th February Sarah Dines MP attended a virtual visit of the Board of Trade to Artisan Biscuits in Ashbourne.
Sarah Dines MP said, ‘On the 10th of February I was invited to join Minister Greg Hands in a virtual visit of the Board of Trade to Artisan Biscuits in Ashbourne. We met with John Siddall and the Board of Trade colleagues and advisers including Karen Betts, the CEO of the Scotch Whisky Association. I was thrilled that the Minister came to Ashbourne on one of his Board of Trade visits. Artisan Biscuits started over 100 years ago in Derbyshire and although the world has changed dramatically in that time, the bakery still uses the same bronze rollers and biscuit-moulding method from their very beginning as a company.
We discussed this fantastic Ashbourne business and looked at the present export market and the challenges and opportunities of international trade. We have so many fantastic produces in Derbyshire Dales who are excited for trade opportunities with foreign markets.
I want to thank Minister Hands, Karen Betts, John Siddall and the team at Artisan Biscuits for a useful and fascinating discussion.’
