As we enter the next phase of recovery, the £500 million boost to the government’s Plan For Jobs will continue to deliver more skills & opportunities for people up & down the country.
Sarah Dines said, ‘The Government’s Plan for Jobs is a range of government programmes, some of which offer financial incentives and are available for employers who are considering hiring employees, offering work experience or upskilling existing staff. The pandemic has been hard on businesses and it is vital that businesses receive support to encourage new job opportunities in our economy. I am delighted that as part of the latest £500 million boost to the Plan for Jobs, Derbyshire will receive £5,404,080.90. This is to help support people to find jobs, create jobs and protect jobs.
I am passionate about making sure that our area has a vibrant economy, with employment for local people and opportunities for our young people just starting out with their careers. I want to see Derbyshire Dales as a desirable place to start businesses and for entrepreneurs to excel. The government’s plan for jobs and this latest funding boost to Derbyshire is another step in the right direction for our local economy.’
