Sarah Dines MP visited Matlock Vaccination centre at Matlock Football Social Club. The Vaccination centre is a pop-up site, operating on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Sarah Dines said, ‘I know that residents have been asking for a vaccination site in Matlock and I too have been pushing for this. I have had meetings with Ministers and written many letters urging the local vaccination team to start a site in Matlock, to encourage as many people as possible to get the vaccine. I am delighted that a weekend popup site has opened in Matlock in recent weeks and I was pleased to visit there last weekend. The team told me they have between 300-600 people coming in each day to receive their vaccinations, with a mix of ages, pre-bookable appointments and some people as walk-ins. I want to thank the team there and everyone at Ascent Healthcare, it was lovely to meet the team. I encourage everyone who is eligible to receive their vaccinations, as we are opening back up after lockdown, it is vitally important that those that can be vaccinated are.’
