On Friday 7th January, Sarah Dines MP visited the team at Newholme Hospital Vaccination centre in Bakewell to meet and thank the staff for the work they have done vaccinating residents during the pandemic.
Sarah Dines MP said, ‘I visited Newholme Hospital vaccination centre in Bakewell, to meet and thank the wonderful team there, led by Kerry on Friday. Some members of the team have not missed a single day in the clinic since it opened, which is an illustration of their dedication.
I feel I must mention Clare who has been a nurse for 43 years and holds the record in the vaccination centre for administering 186 vaccinations in a single day, which is just amazing. The team are truly inspirational and caring and are experts at making nervous patients feel reassured and confident. They are a fantastic team and their work saves lives. I do encourage everyone who is eligible to have their vaccinations and booster as soon as possible.’
