On Friday 27th May, Sarah Dines MP attended the opening of Hulland Ward Jubilee Orchard, with children from Hulland Ward Primary School.
Sarah Dines said, ‘I was absolutely delighted to attend the opening of The Queen’s Jubilee community Orchard in Hulland Ward on Friday. Lord-Lieutenant Mrs. Elizabeth Fothergill, CBE, The Queen’s representative in Derbyshire officiated and I was very pleased to attend, alongside Cllr Dermot Murphy. The local children were incredibly excited to be there and they sang the National Anthem beautifully. It was a lovely and bright albeit windy day. We all had a great time and the children quizzed me on Westminster too.
This is a fantastic community project and I am so pleased that young people from Derbyshire Dales were so enthusiastic about the community orchard and being outdoors. I want to thank the children for my beautiful flowers.’
