Local MP Sarah Dines has once again raised the need for the Ashbourne Bypass on the floor of the House of Commons. On 14 January, Sarah asked the Leader of the House of Commons, The Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg MP for a debate on the bypass and how these infrastructure projects are to be delivered.
Commenting, Sarah Dines MP said:
“This Government are committed to levelling up our economy across the whole of the Country. I firmly believe that the Ashbourne Bypass is exactly the type of project to do that. I took the opportunity to request from the Leader of the House of Commons, The Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg a debate not only on the Ashbourne Bypass, but on how these key infrastructure projects will be delivered. I am greatly encouraged that the County Council has recently completed a public consultation on the bypass and I very much look forward to the next stage of this essential project. I am absolutely determined to see this project come to fruition and I will keep campaigning for this vital project.’’
